About OvO 2

OvO 2 is a fast parkour platformer built in Construct 3 and the follow-up to OvO. The version on this page is an early demo build: when you finish its last stage, a message thanks you for playing the demo and asks you to watch for updates on OvO 2. You guide a small runner through compact obstacle courses, and every level ends at a flag that you have to reach without dying on the way.

Controls

By default the four arrow keys are the inputs. Left and Right run, and Up and Down are the keys behind the tutorial's "Go Up!" and "Press down!" prompts. The opening tutorial, which greets you with "Welcome in OvO 2!", then introduces the special moves one screen at a time:

Jump, including jumping next to a wall to push off it.
Climb: press the key shown on screen while you are on a wall to climb it.
Slide: the tutorial has a stretch of course that you slide through.
Dive: slide while you are in a jump to turn it into a dive.
Smash: a ground pound. Jumping straight after a smash gives a long jump.

What is in the levels

The courses are split into numbered stages: Level 1-1 to 1-4, then a second set from 2-1 onward that includes a 2-X stage, plus a Secret Level and a Course Select menu for picking stages. Hazards include spikes, spike balls, crushers, lasers, turrets and rocket launchers, moving walls, collapsing sections, breakable floors, and blocks that only give way to a ground pound. Helpful pieces include jump boosts, jump-through platforms, portals, buttons that set parts of a level moving and gravity zones that change the direction you fall. Coins sit along the routes, and a skin menu lets you change how your runner looks.

Ghost runs and the demo ending

The build includes a recorder that saves your movement through a level and plays it back as a faded ghost runner. The final section of the demo is called the Climb, and finishing it brings up the closing message about future updates.

Getting started

Play the tutorial through before the numbered levels. Each of the moves listed above gets its own stretch of practice there, with on-screen prompts such as "Try sliding while jumping to dive" and "Now jump just after a smash" telling you what to do.

Is OvO 2 unblocked at school?

OvO 2 runs in an ordinary browser tab from rainbowobby.one, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
